2012 Holistic Transformation to Human Flourishing

This blog is an extension from my  HW420 Creating Wellness-Psych. & Spirit. Asp. of Healing page. I do have plans for a web.tv site (2013) to bring us closer together.  The web.tv will feature before and after pictures/ film, out-n-about segments with health-care professionals, my volunteer work/ services and live web-talk with you the viewer. Also, the start of it all once edited by a professional.
Below I have listed a few of my goals and plans for my 2012 Holistic Transformation to Human Flourishing.  This and future list will have weekly and or monthly reviews about the things that I'm doing, experiencing, personal advice and the real deal of reaching my goals.  In other words, if I eat a whole pot roast or starve myself two steps from passing out, I want to tell you about. Being honest and true to me means being that way with you too.  That is a part of Human Flourishing.  So, I hope you find me interesting enough to join me on my journey.
Happy Flourishing,
La Shonda
My goal by 12-12-12 is to lose 100lbs, back length hair, full split, 6 pack abs,  community volunteer/ mentor, invent a weight loss product, save to start business website and control my lucid dreaming.  Those are just some of the things that I desire for myself.  Giving me the opportunity to create and be who I am and share me with the world is the best loving of all.
Reaching my goals will have ups and downs but they are realistic goals that are set by me for me.  Having a holistic therapist, personal trainers, or financial advisers are not in my budget.  That is okay for now because I want to self-motivate and have a sound foundation. At this time, having this blog is a great idea. I will be able to track my progress, self-therapy, list ideas, and just be a witness to my Holistic Transformation.  Plus it is a major head start on KU (Kaplan University) course capstone.  The Capstone Course and other courses at KU really gave me the idea and motivation to start a blog. So, THANK U KU.
Goal Setting plans will change as I change throughout the next year. I aim to be consistence, accountable and resourceful all with Loving-Kindness.

1) Finance:  I do have two financial advisers that don't cost me money.  My CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and my EFS (Exclusive Financial Specialist).  They both keep me out of money trouble while making the money. Piggy bank a monthly saving.
2)  Business:  Keep a journal of ideas, create and test products, create a business plan and find small business mentors and free programs.
3)  Holistic Work-Out:  Healthy Fruitarian and Vegetarian diet, Yoga and Fat burning exercise, proper skin and hair care and listen to bin aural beats.
4) Product Creating and Testing:  Create and find products that I feel will help in reaching my goal.  Share scientific method tests and reviews of products in developing my own products.

  1. Hi La Shonda,

I believe there is always room for improvement. I scored fairly high on each, but gave room for growth! The goal for physical well being is great. You mentioned that you could be more flexible. If you added yoga and Pilates exercises, this would help your flexibility. A combination of strength every other day, cardio daily and stretch exercises skipping a day would help in the overall physical experience! I have found this to be helpful for myself.

For spiritual well being we choose different routes to spiritual health. Because of my choices your spiritual choices are not right for me. I do respect your differences though. We all have the right to choose what works best for us!

The clients I would work with are from the bible belt, so most of them would not benefit from your type of spiritual goals.

I would like to wish you well! I like the way your blog is set up! I enjoy blogging don't you? Best Wishes in your blogging experience!

  2. Hi Teresa,
I would start out good with yoga but within a week a lose interest. There were pole dancing class here in town but she stop holding them before I got registered. Thought about ordering my on exercise pole but they want way to much for them and I don't want a cheap one. Would hate to hurt myself. A few dollars saved here and there and I should be able to get one by the end of Janurary.
I do enjoy blogging too. This is my first and I feel that over time I will get better. I want to add video but I don't like the idea that others can take parts of the blog (pics and video) and use them without asking. But thats the internet lol.
I do understand that people tend to mix spirituality with their religous practice but they are seperate. Keeping an open mind about religion can be tasking when there are so many. The spirituality makeup is easier because everyone wants to be happy and loving. So talking to a client with that approach makes developing a regiment that is more personal and not religous based.
    Happy blogging to you too.

  3. Hi LaShonda,

Thank you for your insights! I wish you well as we lead on to apply what we have learned in this journey to our clients, but first start with ourselves.

I agree, we can connect with clients on a more spiritual basis, than the religious aspect!

Yes, the internet is what it is! lol

  4. Up date on 2012 HTHF
Current weigh in is 242 lbs (lost 8 lbs). Here is what I am doing: WORK-OUT/DIET walk 30 minutes 3x-4x a week, Daily: 500 calorie diet plus I use Sensa diet supplements for appetite control, take daily vitamins to make sure my body gets the need vitamins and essential nutrients, drink green tea appetite control and 1 gallon of water to flush my kidneys to avoid toxic overload and flush my body of fat burned. I’m still at wanting to lose 100 lbs because my ideal weigh goal is 140 lbs. I just need to stick with my 500 calorie daily diet. It may take to the end of February before I really see the scale change. I have not taken my body measurements yet. I may do that on the return home from the road.
Hair Growth & Skin Care: Use hair infinity shampoo/ conditioner and moisturizer. I take skin pills and use facial cleanser. Here is a link to www.hairfinity.com. I can say that the hair infinity products do work. I HAD some thin at the crown a month ago. I can really see the difference there it does not look thin anymore. The rest of my hair is thicker and it takes a little more elbow grease to come my hair. I wear my hair natural. The texture of my hair is softer and I can go days with putting moisturizer on it. I would never think about doing such a thing. My hair would be so dry that I could start a fire if I rubbed sandpaper against my hair. Let’s see what else. My skin was already in pretty good condition but I have notice that my face is more even tone and pores are less noticeable. My overall body skin texture is softer and I require olive oil (my body lotion) after I bath or on my hands every 2-3 days.
I will keep you posted. 8 lbs ya’all “Pound It Out!!!!”
